Little Lottie, confirms God's love, Christian Children's Book

Little Lottie
with scripture confirming God's love for you

I have written Little Lottie hoping that God’s children might fully understand “the breadth, and length, and depth, and height” of the love of God. The apostle John teaches in 1 John 4:7-8 that “love is of God... for God is love.” In the book, I have included a few pages of scripture at the back of the book which give the assurance that God’s love is everlasting, unconditional, and no thing is able to separate us from His love. This Coloring Book has been created as a resource to be used with the LITTLE LOTTIE children’s book.

Each of God’s children are created as uniquely special members of His kingdom and are “wonderfully made.” He watches over our daily lives, seeing “every precious thing.” The Bible refers to God’s beloved ones as “the apple of His eye.” This reference is to one’s pupil which requires constant care and protection. We can be confident that God will, as Aaron prays in Numbers 6:25-26, “make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee; ... lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”

The greatest evidence of unfathomable love is in Romans 5:8 which declares “in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  John 3:16 testifies that “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Christ Jesus reaffirms this promise in John 10:28-30, adding that we are held in His hands and no man can keep us from Him. “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand... and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.”

Because the message of this book is centered on God’s immeasurable love, because it is directed towards young children, and because we all are under grace, not the law, I have chosen not to address the undeniable truth that there are consequences for our actions. The opportunity will undoubtedly arise for parents to communicate this message to their little ones. For this reason, I reference here Hebrews 12:6a, “For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth,” and Proverbs 3:12, “For whom the Lord loveth He correcteth; even as a father the son in whom He delighteth.” Through God’s great love we should grow in the likeness of His image. Love truly does “Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:7

May I leave you with the words of the Apostle Paul from Ephesians 6:23, “Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.”
