Psalm 33 ~ Let all who have breath praise the Lord
I thought it would be a change of pace if today we simply spent the time together in praise and worship. I have enclosed the text of Psalm 33 embedded on a photograph I took last summer. The glistening background in the photo occured accidently in editing. Isn't is just lovely?
In 2 Chronicles 5:13 the people of Israel were so jubilant in their extolling of the Lord that the temple of the Lord filled with a cloud. "The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang: "He is good; his love endures forever."
See how closely the text of Psalms 150 resembles that of Psalms 33.
Read this aloud with pure joy in your voice! M
Psalms 150:1-6
Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary:
praise him in the firmament of his power.
Praise him for his mighty acts:
praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet:
praise him with the psaltery and harp.
Praise him with the timbrel and dance:
praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
Praise him upon the loud cymbals:
praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.
Praise ye the LORD.
